MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I'm Loni Longsworth.

I created The Intimacy Lab because I believe intimacy is one of the most important and misunderstood parts of the human experience.

Many people are taught very little about connection, communication, attachment, emotional intimacy, physical intimacy, boundaries, vulnerability, or healthy relationships. Yet these areas influence nearly every aspect of our lives.

The Intimacy Lab was created to provide a thoughtful space for learning, reflection, and deeper understanding.

My goal is to help people explore intimacy beyond surface-level advice and develop a stronger connection with themselves and the people around them.

WHY THE INTIMACY LAB?

The Intimacy Lab was built around a simple belief:
Intimacy is much more than sex.

Intimacy involves how we relate to ourselves, regulate our emotions, communicate our needs, build trust, navigate relationships, and experience connection through both emotional and physical closeness.

Through educational content, coaching-informed consultations, resources, and future learning opportunities, The Intimacy Lab helps people better understand the many dimensions of intimacy and how they work together.

MY BACKGROUND

My background is in psychology, human behavior, relationships, and personal development.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology and am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work. My professional experience includes supporting individuals in understanding themselves, strengthening communication, navigating relationships, developing emotional awareness, and creating meaningful change in their lives.

This work has deepened my interest in intimacy, attachment, connection, vulnerability, and the factors that shape healthy relationships.

THE FRAMEWORK

Everything within The Intimacy Lab is guided by a five-pillar framework that explores:

  • Self Connection
  • Nervous System Connection
  • Emotional Connection
  • Relational Connection
  • Physical Connection

Together, these pillars provide a structured approach for understanding intimacy as a complete system rather than a collection of isolated problems.

LET'S CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION

Whether you're interested in personal growth, communication, attachment, emotional intimacy, physical intimacy, or relationship development, I invite you to continue exploring The Intimacy Lab.
